9Bar - Coffee Meets Culture!
In Italy, a coffee shop is called a bar - often a bustling, family-run spot serving quick espresso, other coffee drinks, and sometimes even alcohol. In the world of espresso, 9 bars of pressure is the industry standard for extracting rich, flavourful coffee with the perfect crema.

With that in mind, the client already had the perfect name for their vision: a coffee shop that seamlessly transitions into a bar by night. Add a prime location on Newcastle’s iconic Grey Street, plus the client’s love of urban art, and you have a truly independent space - the kind of vibrant hangout that wouldn’t feel out of place in the backstreets of any Italian city.

Our work included extensive research into interiors and graphic styles, followed by a full branding package including signage, wall graphics and Menu's, resulting in a visually striking, cohesive brand story that captured the heart of the concept.
